• Account Information: When you use Kind Day, we automatically create an anonymous user account using Firebase Authentication. No email, name, or personal identifiers are required.
• Habit Data: Information about your habits, including titles, descriptions, frequencies, completion history, and daily ratings.
• Photos (Optional): Images you choose to upload for habit visualization. Photo uploads are entirely optional and can be used to personalize your habit tracking experience.
• Premium Subscription Data: If you purchase a premium subscription, we collect transaction information including purchase tokens and subscription status.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers (for authentication purposes only).
• Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, and anonymous analytics to improve our services.
• Authentication Tokens: Firebase Authentication tokens to identify your account across devices.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• Payment Processors: We receive confirmation of purchases from Google Play Store and Apple App Store, including purchase tokens and subscription status.
• Firebase Services: We use Google Firebase services which may collect additional technical and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

• Service Delivery: Providing and maintaining the Kind Day app functionality
• Synchronization: Syncing your habit data across multiple devices using your anonymous user ID
• Subscription Management: Processing and validating premium subscriptions through our secure backend
• Fraud Prevention: Validating purchase receipts with Google Play and App Store to prevent fraudulent transactions
• App Improvement: Analyzing usage patterns to enhance features and user experience

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Where Your Data is Stored

• Cloud Storage: Your habit data, photos (if uploaded), and subscription status are stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore (servers located in the United States - nam5 region).
• Local Storage: A cached copy of your data, including photos, is stored locally on your device for offline access.

3.2 Security Measures

• Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols.
• Authentication: Firebase Authentication ensures only you can access your data.
• Access Control: Firestore Security Rules prevent unauthorized access to user data.
• Server-Side Validation: Purchase validations are performed on secure Cloud Functions, not on the device.

3.3 Data Retention

• Active Accounts: We retain your data (including habit data and photos) as long as your account is active.
• Deleted Accounts: If you delete the app, your local data (including photos) is removed immediately. Cloud data can be deleted upon request to hello@kindday.site.
• Subscription Data: Transaction records are retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We may share limited information with:

5.1 Access and Control

• Export Data: You can manually export your habits (future feature planned).
• Delete Data: Delete individual habits or uninstall the app to remove local data.

5.2 Account Deletion

To delete your account and all associated cloud data:

2. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject
3. We will delete all your data within 30 days

5.3 Marketing Communications

We currently do NOT send marketing emails. If we introduce this feature, you will be able to opt-out.

6. Children's Privacy

Kind Day is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

7. International Users

Your data may be transferred to and stored in the United States (Google Cloud servers). By using Kind Day, you consent to this transfer. We comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR for EU users.
